What started out as a funny quip with a co-worker ended up becoming an interesting side project that exposes some of the realities of "social". The Facebook Friend Audit analyzes your last 300 Facebook posts and compares the total number of "likes" against your total number of friends. At the very least, It puts a little perspective on how little person-to-person interaction actually happens on social networks. Try it out for yourself at www.facebookfriendaudit.com

Everyone uses a web browser, but no one really cares which one they're using. To give people a reason to consider why their browser matters, we demonstrated how real people are using Google Chrome. 'The web is what you make of it' campaign kicked off with Google's first ever national TV media buy and extended online with banners and an interactive YouTube video. By showing Chrome as a catalyst for anybody to make the most of life, we showcased the power of the web in a human and inspiring way.

We launched Ally Bank in the midst of the financial crisis of 2009 with a strong message: Straightforward. At a time when banks were failing on a weekly basis because of untrustworthy banking practices, our ads exposed the ways that banks deceive customers by placing kids in the same situations. The result helped Ally generate billions of dollars in deposits and hundreds of thousands of new customers.

In fact, the campaign prompted the FDIC to force us to change our message, in fairness to other banks of course. So we repositioned Ally based on one simple truth: of all the things people love in the world, their bank just isn't one of them.

The Chrome Fast integrated campaign established Google Chrome as the fastest browser on the web. We demonstrated Chrome's speed through the Speed Tests, a viral video that matched Chrome against a potato gun, sound waves and lightning. We extended the "Chrome Fast" message online through :30 webspots, rich media banners and a contextualized banner blitz on major sites. Lastly, we challenged people to be "Chrome Fast" by launching FastBall, an interactive game on YouTube that turned everyday sites into a race around the web. The campaign helped expand Chrome's marketshare to overtake Apple's Safari as the world's 2nd most popular browser.

For the launch of Apple's iPad, we created one of the first iPad apps for Cool Hunting, designing an ideal experience for consuming Cool Hunting articles and videos. The Cool Hunting app was released with our client Cadillac as the advertising sponsor, proposing a new ad model for publications on the iPad. The app hosted a special Cadillac section with exclusive, curated Cool Hunting content for Cadillac's tastemakers.

The app exceeded expectations and reached the top 10 in the iTunes "Lifestyle" category within two days of launch. It was also featured on the iTunes homepage in the App Store. Download it for your iPad or read more about the project at BBH Labs and Cool Hunting.
